Role Overview:

As working student developer at this company, you will be immersed in the technicalities of developing high-performance crawlers that navigate and extract data from various sources. You’ll work closely with their experienced data development team to learn and apply best practices in Laravel, PHP, and MySQL database management. You will not only work on data scrapers, but also have the option to work on the architecture around these scrapers and databases. This role offers a unique blend of technical challenges and opportunities for personal development, ideal for students passionate about coding and eager to make a tangible impact in the field of data processing and development.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Build efficient crawlers to scrape and process data from multiple sources, employing PHP and Laravel.
  • Work with MySQL databases to store, retrieve, and manage data efficiently, ensuring integrity and performance.
  • Collaborate with team members to ideate, troubleshoot, and implement solutions that push the boundaries of what our crawlers can achieve.
  • Engage in ongoing learning and development through company-sponsored events, workshops, and courses.

Requirements:

  • Strong desire to learn PHP or start using your PHP skills and related technologies.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and contribute to a collaborative environment.
  • Fluent English communication skills.
  • Available to work a minimum of 16 hours per week, with flexibility to accommodate academic schedules.
  • First 2 to 3 weeks you will need to be present at the office in Amsterdam for the full 16 hours, after this hybrid options are possible.
