About the Role
Are you a recent (or soon-to-be) graduate eager to kickstart your career as a Full Stack Developer? Join a fast-growing AI start-up in the heart of Rotterdam, where you'll work on production-ready systems used by major clients like ANWB, Eneco, and Coolblue.
While the company specializes in AI, your primary focus will be full stack development – building robust platforms and web applications from the ground up. Occasionally, you'll also support the integration of AI features such as chat interfaces or simple prompting workflows, giving you a chance to explore the world of applied AI without it being your main responsibility.
You'll join a compact, ambitious team of developers, engineers, and product specialists who thrive on solving real-world problems with scalable technology. Expect short feedback loops, direct contact with clients, and an environment that values clean code, learning, and teamwork.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and maintain full stack web applications, both front-end and back-end
- Contribute to scalable architectures using technologies like Node.js, TypeScript, and modern frameworks
- Occasionally work with AI technologies such as language model APIs or prompt logic (e.g., for chatbot UI)
- Collaborate with product and design teams to translate customer needs into technical solutions
- Work with modern dev tools: Git, Docker, GCP, testing frameworks, and CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate third-party APIs and client systems for real-time data exchange
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and product ideation
What We’re Looking For
Languages & Communication:
- Native Dutch is a plus, fluent English is required
- Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Experience & Background:
- 1–2 years of experience through internships, projects, or work in software development
- Strong understanding of modern web development (front-end and back-end)
Technical Skills:
- Solid experience with Node.js / TypeScript
- Bonus: knowledge of PHP and/or Python
- Familiar with Git, Docker, GCP, and automated testing
- Bonus: exposure to AI concepts like prompting, LLM APIs, or basic NLP workflows
Soft Skills:
- Eager to learn and develop professionally
- Team-oriented and communicative
- Proactive problem-solver with strong attention to detail
