When can you become a CodeHive Freelancer?
When you’ve already found an assignment via CodeHive, you can apply to work as a freelancer. As a freelancer you need to have significant experience in your area.
Secondly, it is important that you know how to do your taxes and finances. Therefore, we have the CodeHive Freelance Assesment before you can work as a freelancer via CodeHive.

What's in it for me?
Good question. At CodeHive we think it’s very important that you get what you deserve. Therefore, we are completely transparant in our margins.
In order to be able to find jobs, CodeHive has a margin of 6 EUR/hour + 10% of the total hourly rate.
Let’s say a customer pays 35 EUR/hour to CodeHive for a CodeHive Freelancer. The total fee that goes to CodeHive is then 6 + 3.50 = 9.50 EUR/hour.
You will then get 25.50 EUR/hour.
This means that you will always get more than 70%.

Pass the assesment
At CodeHive, we have a high standard to live up to, especially for CodeHive Freelancers. Therefore, you have to pass the CodeHive Freelance assesment that tests you on your expertise in your area, your work-proficiency, and your ability to do your own taxes.

I don't have a job via CodeHive yet, can I apply as a CodeHive freelancer?
Unfortunately not. You need to have a job via CodeHive already to apply as a freelancer. You can find jobs on the jobs page.
Will I get paid if the client has no work for me?
As a freelancer, you only get paid when the client hires you.
