Location: Remote (EU-based preferred)
Hours: 32–40 hours/week
Company: CodeHive (on assignment for Nova Chat project)
Period: 2 month project

Are you a highly skilled Full-Stack JavaScript Developer with deep experience in React and headless CMS solutions? For the Nova Chat project (Milestone 1), we’re looking for someone to help finalize and test a powerful, AI-driven communication platform. This is a challenging assignment with high impact and strong technical ownership.

Job description

In this project, you’ll work on completing the core functionality of an existing React app, as well as migrating from Strapi to Payload CMS. Your role spans the full stack, including:

  • Frontend: Finalize and optimize the React-based frontend
  • Backend: Set up Payload CMS with existing features only (no new functionalities)
  • RBAC & User management: Define and implement roles and admin structure
  • Custom endpoints: Create tailored API endpoints for the frontend
  • Hosting & Infrastructure: Deploy to AWS using Fargate or Lambda, with S3 and database for storage
  • CI/CD: Implement basic CI/CD pipelines
  • AI integration support: Collaborate on AI improvements, including live chat, STT/TTS, and response times

You’ll be working closely with the lead product manager and junior developers, occasionally guiding their progress and performing code reviews.

Candidate requirements

We’re looking for a developer who ticks most of the following boxes:

  • 10/10 ReactJS frontend development
  • 10/10 CMS experience – preferably Payload CMS
  • 7/10 AWS (EC2, Lambda, Fargate, S3, security best practices)
  • 7/10 Scrum master or team lead experience (delegation, reviews, backlog management)
  • 5/10 DevOps (basic pipelines for Node/React deployment)
  • 3/10 Generative AI (basic LLM configuration, API usage)
  • Strong communication skills and proactive mindset
  • Available as freelancer (ZZP) or via payroll
