Job Description
As a Junior AI & Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on the development and optimization of LLM-based systems within one of Europe’s leading technology investment companies. You’ll experiment, prompt models, and help scale AI solutions that are tested live in A/B environments. This role is hands-on and impact-driven—perfect for someone who wants to bridge academic knowledge with production-level AI.

What You’ll Do

• Train and fine-tune LLMs using frameworks like PyTorch and Huggingface
• Design, execute, and analyze A/B tests to evaluate model impact
• Translate cutting-edge ML research into practical code
• Build scalable tools for model evaluation and performance tracking
• Work in a collaborative team of AI engineers, sharing code, ideas, and results
• Engage in both short-term experiments and longer-term system development
• Communicate findings and iterate on solutions with product teams

What You Bring

• A completed BSc/MSc degree in AI, CS, Data Science or related field
• Strong programming skills in Python
• Experience with ML model training and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, Huggingface)
• Ability to interpret academic papers and convert them into working code
• Curiosity, initiative, and a pragmatic mindset
• Solid communication skills and a collaborative attitude
• Eager to work at the intersection of applied research and product development
• Willing to work on-site at our Amsterdam office at least 3 days per week
