A leading FinTech SaaS company, established in 2016, with approximately 65 employees and backed by significant investors. Known for its innovative payment solutions, it is expanding rapidly within Europe. They started in the Netherlands and are now rolling out their products to the UK and other EU countries.

About the Role:
As a Junior Java Developer, you will join one of our autonomous, agile development teams dedicated to reducing financial fraud through innovative technology. Your primary responsibilities include the development and maintenance of our key products and services, using Java and Kotlin within an AWS-hosted infrastructure. You will contribute to our mission of ensuring secure and accurate payments, directly impacting the prevention of fraud and misdirected payments. So not only will you work on your coding skills and passion, but you’ll also have a positive impact on society!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work within an Agile environment, participating in sprints to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Develop and maintain various products, including our core name-matching algorithm, APIs, and customer portal.
  • Collaborate with Developers, DevOps Engineers, and a Product Owner to ensure excellence in algorithm performance and system availability.
  • Work on Bank and Corporate API’s, the customer portal and the UK payment solution.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Informatics, ….). (Bachelor degrees may also be accepted depending on experience)
  • Working student experience is a bonus, preferably with Java.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
  • Proactive, inventive, inquisitive, and positively critical mindset.
  • Experience with AWS and/or Python are advantageous.
  • Good grades throughout your study program.
