Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Salary: €2800 – €5000/month
Type: Hybrid (60/40 remote/office)

Job Description:
As an IT Software Engineer, you will be responsible for converting wishes, problems, or questions into concrete software solutions. Your role involves the design and development of various business applications to meet specific user needs. You will utilize modern integration and development platforms. Additionally, you are in charge of managing, optimizing, and integrating business applications and data sources, ensuring that information is timely and reliably available to users. The role increasingly focuses on data possibilities. An experienced Software Engineer will mentor you in our specific software environment and programming language.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transition from traditional web applications to building applications visually using components and widgets.
  • Work with SQL databases.
  • Utilize various applications and languages like Linux, Node.js, Perl, Java on the IBM i platform.
  • Manually develop APIs using available webservices on the IBM platform, with a significant focus on SQL for database content to API message translation.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Solid knowledge of SQL.
  • Understanding of HTML, JSON, and JavaScript.
  • A relevant IT education at HBO/WO level and strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Familiarity with common programming languages and a solid foundation in software development and its methodologies. Knowledge of integrations and low-code development platforms like Mendix is beneficial.
  • Interest in or experience with platforms like Linux, Node.js, Perl, Java.
  • Openness to work with unique midrange platforms like IBM i and adapt to their specific characteristics.
  • Good communication skills in both Dutch and English.
